Nathan A. East, President of Northshore Title, Inc., is a descendant of pioneer families of San Patricio County and attended Gregory-Portland schools all 12 years prior to attending college. He graduated as President of the Gregory-Portland Senior Class of 1969, received his BBA from Baylor University in 1973, and graduated from the Baylor University School of Law in 1976. He has maintained a general practice of law in Portland since 1978.
Mr. East has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout the years for his service to his community. He has been a member of the Portland Rotary Club since 1978, having served as President and in all other capacities of the local club, and, also, as District Secretary and Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 5930. He served as a member of the Gregory-Portland Independent School District Board from 1980 - 1983, and served for 12 years on the Board of Directors of the Corpus Christi Dispute Resolutions Board, being President of the Board for 4 years. In 1990, Mr. East was a co-founder of the Corpus Christi Pregnancy Center, and has been the Chairman of the Board for the past 12 years. He is a current member, past Director and past President of the Portland Chamber of Commerce, and served for 6 years on the Portland City Council. The Portland Chamber of Commerce bestowed Nathan with the honor of being the 2007 "Member of the Year". Nathan enjoys the outdoors, wild-game hunting, and raising Beefmaster cattle on his ranch in Goliad, Texas. |
